Antigua Cruise Port is celebrating International Women’s Day which is being recognized on Wednesday, March 8, 2023. The day acknowledges the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women and raises awareness about the challenges women and girls continue to face.
This year’s theme is #EmbraceEquity, a notion endorsed by Antigua Cruise Port.
General Manager Dona Regis- Prosper said, “Port management has traditionally been a male-dominated field and equity can play a vital role in creating paths for women to reach their full potential in this industry. We can help to eliminate some of the challenges women face in their professional lives by opposing gender stereotypes and being inclusive.”
Mrs. Regis- Prosper said, “Embracing equity starts with believing that women are capable and deserving of opportunities for advancement and given the tools to excel.”
She added, “Antigua Cruise Port appreciates the women on our team who play various roles as we celebrate women everywhere. We also encourage everyone to #EmbraceEquity, not only today but every day.”
Antigua Cruise Port has a 50:50 ratio of men and women with women occupying managerial roles such as General Manager, Facility Manager, and Financial Controller.
