Located in the West Indies, Antigua is one of the Leeward Islands in the Caribbean regions and the main island of the country of Antigua and Barbuda. A favorite tourist destination, Antigua is the highlight of Southern and Deep Southern cruise itineraries, as well as transatlantic routes. Located İn St. John’s harbor, Antigua Cruise Port is the gateway to the city.
Serving mainly as a transit port, Antigua handles over 800k passengers annually. With the new project the port will have a new pier that can accommodate the biggest ships of the industry which will enable the passenger volumes to grow over 1million.
With the development and construction of brand-new retail and food and beverage facilities, there will be an over 50,000sq.ft. of additional commercial facilities to be leased to the locals. The construction phase is expected to start in Q4 2019 and is anticipated to be completed by the beginning of the season in September 2020. Antigua Cruise Port has started its operations in October 2019.
GPH (Antigua) Ltd. (Antigua and Barbuda) operates Antigua Cruise Port as well as managing Falmouth Harbour and Barbuda's cruise traffic.
